17th April |
4th Sunday of Easter |
John 10:1-10 |
Jesus is the shepherd who calls to all the people to follow him, whose voice we recognise. How do we recognise Jesus call to us? |
Think of a game that helps us to think of whether Jesus is calling us. For example, matching things that friends, teachers, parents, siblings may ask us to do with things like helping each other, sharing things, comforting each other, being brave, things in the beatitude. |

24th April |
5th Sundayof Easter |
John 14:1-12 |
Jesus prepares a room for each of us in Heaven, so that it may reflect on our particular special qualities. |
What qualities do we each have? Can we recognize the special qualities in each other? A game where we try to name what makes us special, and then see if we can remember what makes others special. |

1st May |
6th Sunday of Easter |
John 14:15-21 |
Jesus promises us that if we follow his commandment, then God will send us the Spirit of truth so we may know God and Jesus fully. |
What is the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit? Does it have a body? Can we see it? Can we touch it? Taste it? It helps us to know God and Jesus fully. Does it do this through our feelings? Our thoughts? Our dreams? Have a game of questions and answers where the children can explore their ideas of what the Holy Spirit may be to them. |

8th May |
7th Sunday of Easter |
John 17:1-11 |
Jesus prays for us, so that we may know God, and that Jesus is the Son of God, who came to show us that life comes from knowing him. |
How does Jesus help us live? A game of choices, make up some scenarios and suggestions of choices, and ask the children which choice they would like to make, which choice they think Jesus would like them to make. Make some a little more ambiguous, some tempting wrong choices, and try to get them to reason why they think Jesus would like them to make one versus the other. |

15th May |
Pentecost |
John 20:19-23 |
Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit so we may be his witness. |
What can we do in our daily lives that bears witness to Jesus? By helping our neighbours? Going to church?
There is no children’s liturgy, but would anyone like to work with Fr Perry/Javier to do something to show how we can be witnesses as children and as a family? |

22nd May |
Trinity Sunday |
John 3:16-18 |
God send his Son to the us so we may be saved, so that we know God, and be part of the Trinity. |
We are baptised ‘in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’, and we say this each time we pray. How do we recognize this presence of God in our lives? Have lots of images, some showing as God the Father (eg pictures of trees, sun, stars, universe, people), some of God the Son (eg pictures of people doing specific things that may remind us of Jesus’ life, people helping people, the cross, teachers), some of the God the Spirit (pictures that can express the spirit of love, peace, and understanding?), and see if they can make a mosaic of the Trinity with it. |
